Founded in 2019 by Laura Mallett, Blue Bridge House took its name from its original home studio, a blue house beside a bridge on the banks of the river Shannon in Co. Clare.
The studio has now moved to the vibrant area of The Liberties in Dublin 8 where Laura creates handmade ethical products with sustainability at the heart of her practice.
Laura drew inspiration from her surroundings in the wild nature of Clare as well as her growing interest in reducing waste and changing our habits to consume differently.
Laura’s creativity through textile is her way to promote and nurture a more sustainable way of life for our present and future and that of the generations to come.
Blue Bridge House is a member of the Design and Craft Council of Ireland.
Laura’s studio is shortlisted as a finalist in the Textiles Category of the Irish Made Awards 2021.
